Aerosmith Gets Their Own Guitar Hero!

So, funny story, apparently bands are now getting their own versions of the famous rock-sim game.

Not only were there plenty of songs by the band (hopefully including "Train Kept A Rollin" which is a Jason Comack Rock Band specialty.) but also songs that inspired the band, and a fully animated version of the band in the game. Apparently, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry haven't lived long enough already, they have to be immortalized in Video Game form.

Now, I've never been crazy about Aerosmith, but the direction is interesting. GHIII has struggled with Downloadable content, and now they are going to make you pay for a whole other game to play Aerosmith? Why not just make this a $20 downloadable expansion pack?

Someone get me my copy of Rock Band, this disgusts me.

GH III Has Made Me a Hermit...

Just a quick note before I go take my Earth Science Mid-Term:

I hate my life. I just want to stay home and Play Guitar Hero III.

It's better than the last two for one simple reason: It has more songs that I want to play, thus giving it more replay value.

With the GHIII hype flowing around between this site, and the lovely Tal's as well, We would be remiss not mention Harmonix's next project, Rock Band. RB is Guitar Hero to the next level. It will have four instruments: Guitar (You can use your current GH guitar, or buy a new RB one.), Bass, Drums, and a Microphone that can also serve as a tambourine or cowbell (you'll see why later.)

As you can see the song list is very cool. However, the one big negative is that the game, including the four instruments will cost somewhere around $200. That's kinda steep, unless you are splitting it with people.

You have to notice a couple of things immediately:

- No Crappy Metal! Sorry, Crazy Ray, but there is no reason that I should HATE playing the last few songs of GH, like I did in the second one.

- An International Flavor with a few songs that don't appear to be in english. While I don't blame the developers because this game has crossover appeal for alot of different countries, I hope they are bonus songs because I don't know how fun they will be to play.

I'm psyched. October 30th, I'm so taking off work.

Who Wants A Quesadilla?: A Notes Column.

-How important is the Mid-Summer Classic?

All my friends took the night to hang out with their respective girlfriends last night.

That's right, No one cares. This thing has outlived it's usefullness. It was meant to show off all the talent that a league has to offer in one place so that people in New York could see all the great players that played in California.

Isn't that what MLB.tv and Satelite dishes are for now?

The only way to make this thing matter again is to have it count for fantasy statistics. That's it. It's the only way anyone will care.

- When did E3 get boring? I know it was only the first day, but I can't help but feel like very little news about anything came out of yesterday.

So Far, All we have is the Sony $100 price drop (which has reignited my interest in the system) and Slash creating an original song for Guitar Hero III. I love Guns and Roses, and more importantly I love top hats, so Slash is a natural choice for a man crush for me. However, I'm not really interested in playing a new original song by him. Instead, Let me play as Slash in the game and give me the guitar solo from Estranged (Off of GnR's Use Your Illusion II.)

We should here more about alot of stuff today. Hopefully we get a little Madden and NCAA today. Also, did anyone realize that we are only one week away from the release of All-Pro Football 2k7? It's too bad we still haven't fixed Jason Xbox. We need to get on that.

I'm gonna do a E3 Update later today before I go to work at 6. More on stuff then.

Since Jason's XBOX 360 sucks, I can't get my hands on a copy of this to review it yet. I really want to though, and plan to once we figure out how the devil managed to possess Jason's XBOX.
