Seriously, there is no reason that anyone who has been on the chopping block eight times should still be on the final three. That's like being just good to still suck. It's absurd. Then, to make it even worse, she incredibly annoying, and she blames every single problem that she has on someone else. "Who put my rice on high? You know, You could at least be happy for me."She even went as far as throwing my favorite chef on the show, Andrew, under the bus. I'm not even going to waste my time talking about her. She sucks. She has no shot.
The other two people are pretty evenly matched. Stephanie and Richard are both very good chefs. However, their is one key component to this match-up: Does anyone else feel like Richard is slowing losing it?
For those who are yet to figure out how great the show is, here's the breakdown: Richard is from Atlanta and had some very original techniques for cooking. For example, he smoked some meat inside of a plastic bag earlier in the season. Now, veteran Top Chef watchers know that this is a good way to ensure victory, mainly because the judges are always looking for something a little different.
However, about midway through the season, the judges just stopped being entertained by it. It just seemed like all of the charm faded away and soon Richard was on the chopping block. He went back to cooking a more conservative style, and has survived until now, but has drawn questions from the judges like "Isn't that a little boring for you?"
Now, he seems more nervous than ever every second of the show and seems like he is going to just snap and lose it. His competition, Stephanie, has never seemed anything less than gracious and cool, and has almost never been even close to the chopping block, as she wins quickfires and elimination challenges like it's nothing.
That's why she'll be the victor tonight. Is she the better chef? Probably not, however, She has never faltered at all during the competition. Last week, her sous chef (who happened to be one my favorite characters from the show, Dale) left meat for one her dishes out overnight and ruined it. She didn't panic, came up with a great idea and came away with a victory.
She was made for this. She deserves to win, and if she doesn't I'll be shocked. If Lisa wins, I'll just light myself on fire.
