Interesting Marketing...

EA Sports will include NFL Head Coach '09 as a pack-in with Madden '09's 20th anniversary edition. The whole shebang will cost about 80 bucks.

Now, I think this is a good idea, because Jason and I knew that HC would not sell after Madden already came out. We also thought that ideally, HC would come out in February, and give people the ability to re-sign, sign, and draft alongside the actual events that happened.

However, how many people are going to spring for HC? Madden is more than enough for most, so I wonder.

I Love Technology...

I made two of my fantasy picks via Xbox Live headset. I need to get a life.

A lot of stuff going on here at the site, some of which include:

- Never ending continuance of NFL analysis, including team reviews, draft profiles, Mock Draft Wars and of course, our wit and wisdom. Not to mention Live blogging of the NFL Draft, pick by pick, the whole way through.

- I want to start reviewing stuff again. Movies, CDs, Video Games, TV shows, we're gonna start it up again.

- A new year of How to Fix Madden! I've played more Madden this year than any in the past 4-6 years, so I have a lot to say.

- Analysis of the upcoming Baseball season, and the inevitable Yankee Dominance that follows.

- Much like Jason did toward the beginning of this endeavor, I want to start doing Lists. Top 10's and the such.

The More I Look...

The more I like.

I don't want to start the hype machine too early, but it really looks like EA has taken most of the frustrating parts out of NFL Head Coach. No more annoying board meetings, no more irritating Scouting Directors.

The game has a whole bunch of new features, and the only disappointing thing is that it won't be released until the fall.

It appears that Tony Dungy will grace the cover of NFL Head Coach '09. Here's the Pretty Pitcure:

Head Coach will be released sometime in June, or July.

I am Incredibly Productive Today...

Remember NFL Head Coach? It was a coaching sim released by EA that was a great idea, but ended up being frustrating for a lot of people. Parts were boring, and parts didn't make any sense. All in all, it was a good effort, but wasn't the revolution we were hoping for.

Boom. Enter NFL Head Coach '09.

Read IGN's Hands-on for more info, but it certainly sounds like it makes a ton more sense than the original.

This is the kind of thing that could be very bad for my social life.

It's due out later this year. I'd expect June or July.
