SPOILER ALERT - LOST Thoughts

If you don't want LOST spoilers stop reading.

I said stop...

No, seriously.

Ok, if you made it this far you probably saw "No Place Like Home Part:1" a couple hours ago and much like me your trying to digest everything coming your way in two weeks.

So before I call it a night here's some LOST quick hits:

1) Happy - that Jack finds out Claires his sister. And while Jack knows now that Claire is his sister and Aaron is his nephew it raises a slew of other questions.

- Does he tell Kate?
- What changes between courtroom, "you know I can't see him Jack" to "Daddy Jack"
- Is Claire dead? Desmonds vision said she "get's on the chopper"
- Why is Claire the only one suppose to raise Aaron?
- Christian Sheppard?

2) Amused - that Ben is still in control. Last week it seemed he had given up that Locke was "chosen" and he had become irrelevant. Of course as Ben states "I always have a plan

Being that we know who the Oceanic 6 are it's interesting that the show has everyone so spread out that inevitably gets off the island.

Jack and Sawyer are with Lupedis
Hurley is with Locke
Sun is on the soon to be exploding boat with Aaron.
Kate is with Sayaid captured by the remaining others.

3) Disappointed - Whoever cut together the "on the next LOST clips should be fired.

Clearly Sawyer was kissing Kate on the helicopter as Frank was saying we have too much weight. I take it Sawyer elects to jump so the chopper can fly. Way to ruin an amazingly dramatic moment.

4) Excited - This episode in many ways was a set up episode. This season of LOST has been so frantic with so many reveals an episode like this was necessary to build up to what should be an insane two hours of television.

-How do they get off the island?
-Whats the Orchid (time machine much?)
-Who's in the coffin (promised to be answered)
-Jacob?
-BSM?
-Richard?

Head exploding.

Greatest show ever. Can't it be the 29th right now?

I'm LOST

Literally.

After an incredible season premiere that promised to keep this seasons theme of action and answers, LOST has followed up with two sub par episodes.

I can understand the need for last weeks episode. You had to pull away from the main story to introduce new characters, I get it.

But this weeks episode baffled me. We got nothing but more questions, and one hell of a twist ending. But, for the majority of the episode I found myself bored. I was drifting in and out of focus.

The addition of flash-forwards has added a unique story telling element but I'm not sure how well it works.

When you find out that someone got off the Island, as we have been lately, you want to know how they got off the Island and what the hell there doing now. Well we've gotten very little if any of that and this episode just provided us more questions.

When the show put a cap on the amount of episodes before the series finale I was excited. It meant the shows writers had a plan, it meant we'd be getting definitive answers and a definitive conclusion to one of the greatest shows ever.

I was wrong. Instead the show has gone in a new direction, new questions have arisen but it has come at the expense of ignoring, well everything that's happened during the course of the show.

I just don't know how the hell everything ties in together. And for one of the first times I can remember I don't find it cool, I find it frustrating. The ending of the most recent episode "The Economist" was awesome. But the rest of the episode wasn't. LOST use to be a master at character development, interaction, romance and comedy. The great character interaction made the fact that you weren't getting answers tolerable. But now were getting bland episodes, where nothing happens and we end the last three minutes of the show with a huge cliffhanger that just raises more questions.

This has always been the shows blessing and it's curse. And I've always thought it was a blessing, but I find myself more on the fence with every passing week.

I'm afraid LOST has lost it's touch.

Annnnnndddddd Good Afternoon Everybudddddddyyyyy

Thoughts while watching Mike and the Mad Dog.

-Did you know that the radio Mike and the Mad Dog is on a delay. I'm watching it on YES while my dad is listening to it on radio. It's like a Mike and the Mad Dog echo. I think I'm going deaf.

-Ok So Elijah Dukes threatened to kill his wife. Seriously this isn't even funny. He actually sent her a picture text message of the gun. I'm really sick of athletes getting a free pass. If I did this...I would probably be in jail right now.

-Are the Falcons planning a post Vick life? They are attempting to jump into the Trent Green sweep steaks late. I think it's safe to assume Godell has to suspended Vick if this dog fighting thing continues it's current course. It's certainly looking like Vick had an active role/knowledge of the dog fighting. He shouldn't be held to a different standard just cause he's Mike Vick. Remember Antonio Bryant was cut by the Niners primarily because of a 4 game suspension following a DUI. So if your a Falcon Fan I suggest pre-ordering your Brian Brohm jersey.

-Save us King James! I was actually going to devout a whole blog about how desperately the NBA needs to have Le Bron Bron in the NBA Finals but than I realized that I don't really care about basketball. The truth is as good of a team as the Suprs are there boring. You can compare a Pistons Spurs NBA Finals to the Mayweather De La Hoya fight...except without the interesting story lines. It's going to be a technical slow, methodical..boring NBA Final. But put King James in there and all of a sudden theres a story. NBA writers get to write the same "Can Le Bron step up" column 50,000 times. Look here's the thing the Spurs are going to win and no ones going to care. If Bron Bron makes it into the NBA Finals and loses he's going to be unfairly bashed all summer for not "stepping up". If he doesn't get into the NBA Finals he's going to be bashed all summer for not stepping up. Here's the thing...his supporting cast is awful. Take away King James and they are a lottery team. So if your gonna hate on James for something don't bash him for passing the ball and the end of the game (anyone who bashed him for passing to Marshall for the wide open 3 is an idiot) bash him for mailing in some games. And for the loved of god pray he gets a half decent player on that team so we can see his true potential.

-What's New In The TV World: The Lost Finale was absolutely ridiculous. For those who don't want spoilers I suggest you skip ahead. A flash forward? Are you kidding me? Of course while this answers the biggest question of do they get rescued? There are still so many things left unanswered. I really think the creators had a plan all along, even though many have doubted this and claimed they were making things up as they went along. Though I'm not sure if they always had this vision of doing Flash Forwards all along. They might have rushed this plot line to get it into the finale to appease viewers. Remember the ratings were down all season and even long time viewers were giving up.

Unfortunately since I don't have my DVR anymore I missed the real world reunion special. However I did catch the Real World Vegas Reunion Preview. Ecstatic isn't even a strong enough word to describe my excitement. Also on the MTV Front Timmy annoucned his retirment from the Inferno. :(, I didn't know my Timmy Needs to Retire Blog would have such far reaching ramications. One last MTV note everyone needs to chek out the show Adventures In Hollyhood. You'll thank me later.

-That's all for now. Things to look foward to; The Continuing Chick Flick Countdown as well as Since I'm A Betting Man, breaking down this weekends big UFC PPV.
